Larry Smith: The Hills Are Alive With Mets Song Parodies

Spring Training is in full swing and many of you are already catching baseball fever.  The Apple's Larry Smith must have the fever because he feels like singing.  Now keep in mind youngsters the last time Larry watched The Grammys the best new artist award went to Strawberry Alarm Clock. (Google it kids) So naturally what he calls "pop music" comes from the Sound of Music soundtrack.  Anyhow, he's been running through fields, dodging Nazis and signing about his favorite things.

Sing along to his song if you know the melody.  If you don't know, go here first and then enjoy a few of Larry Smith's "Favorite Things" after the jump.

Angel's in center
And Beltran's in right now
Bay says his head's good
He's feeling all right now
Dickey still throws balls
They're all fluttering
THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS

Jose feels good now
He'll steal lots of bases
Collins will put team
Through all of its paces
David's the Wright guy
Might get us a ring
THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS

Sandy's a sharpy
I trust in what he knows
All the new players
Are not just Latinos
Pelfrey looks ready
I like what he brings
THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS

When the Mets lose
When the Yanks win
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
AND THEN I DON'T FEEL SO BAD

Thole's the backstop
A slap hitting lefty
Paulino will catch too
Despite being hefty
Ike's still at first base
With his power swings
THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS

Watching a ballgame that Gary and Ron do
Kevin's their sidekick
Who's roaming the venue
Keith is so kooky
Opinions he flings
THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS

Wilpons in trouble
Madoff with their money
Likely it's me
But I just find that funny
Wondering just what the future will bring
THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS

When Luis plays
When Ollie throws
Then I'm feeling had
I simply remember my favorite things
AND THEN I DON'T FEEL SO BAD
