Last night the Mets achieved something. They
caught the unicorn. They
got the carrot. They reached the .500 mark. Now you know a Mets marketing department desperate for any small victory to celebrate was not going to take this lightly.
Earlier today, truckloads of Mets .500 t-shirts arrived at Modells all around the NYC area and judging by fan reaction, the shirts are a hit.
One fan at Modells talked to us about the
team shirts. "It's a very nice shirt. Not a great shirt, but a decent one. After the poor quality shirts we have received in previous years I think it just may seem nicer by comparison. Either way I'll take it."
Shirts are available for $24.99 at area Modells while supplies last. The same shirts will also be available at Citi Field for $34.99.
