Mets Unveil 2 New Sandwiches At Citi Field: One Made Of Steak, The Other Made Out Of Jason Bay's Contract

The Bay-conator
Yesterday, Sandy Alderson stated that the Mets would not eat Jason Bay's contract. The Mets General Manager, however, did not say anything about the fans eating it. Tonight at Citi Field, the Mets will debut two new sandwiches. While one is a traditional steak sandwich, the second appears to be made entirely of Bay's bloated contract.

The sandwich, called the Bay-conator, is made of Canadian bacon, cheese and a few pages of Jason Bay's contract. One Mets employee described the taste as "something you'll regret before you're even done with the first bite."

Pat LaFrieda Original Filet Mignon Sandwich
The other sandwich debuting tonight is a filet mignon steak sandwich from the famous Pat LaFrieda Meat Purveyors. It features hand-cut 100% black angus seared filet mignon topped with Monterey jack cheese and sweet caramelized onions, served with a secret au jus on a custom-made and toasted French baguette.

While it sounds more appetizing than the Bay-conator, it doesn't have the same thrill as choking down one your favorite team's worst mistakes one bite at a time.

The steak sandwich will be available in LaFrieda Meats’ own stand in Taste of the City on the Field Level behind the center field scoreboard near section 139. The Bay-conator will be available at the Taste of Failure stand located behind the garbage compactors in sub-basement 3.
