Mets Bench Players Hold "Kumite" To Determine Who Is The Worst

For some of the Mets, the rain out in Colorado was a much needed day to rest injured limbs.  The Mets worst players however, used the unscheduled off day to fight in a bloody tournament to decide who truly is the worst player on the team.

Apparently, the trio of Hairston, Harris & Hu were motivated by The Apple's recent fan poll and somehow came to the conclusion that a bloody sparring session, or Kumite, was the only way to decide once and for all who is the worst.

Initially, team officials were concerned about the whole situation, but when someone pointed out that the three may be injured during the fighting the Mets quickly gave their blessing.  "We're not even sure how fighting proves who is a bad baseball player.", said one Mets official.  "But if it means they get hurt and we don't have to look at them anymore, we're all for it."

While the details of the Kumite are shrouded in mystery, early reports say that Scott Hairston defeated Chin Lung Hu in an early match.  Next he'll have to fight this guy:

Our money is on Willie.

  1. I like this idea. Maybe you could have them fight in Thunderdome "2 man enter one man leave" style.
