Mets To Sell Fans Reprints Of Their "No-Hitter" Appeal To Major League Baseball

On Wednesday night, the Mets filed an appeal to Major League Baseball to have a 1st inning error harged to David Wright and thus crediting R.A. Dickey with a no-hitter. While the Mets knew the odds of the MLB actually overturning the scoring decision were against them, they hope to reap other benefits by cashing in on the memorabilia opportunities presented by Dickey's near no-no.

Much like they did with "NoHan Mania" the team is banking on fans willingness to pay top dollar for a replicated piece of history. On Thursday night, the Mets released the following press release:

Fans Can Purchase Copies of the Historic Appeal for $50 Each;
Season Ticket Holders to Receive Complimentary Copies,
40-Game, 20-Game, 15-Game, and 6-Game Plan & Pack Holders to Receive Discounts;
One-Hitter Appeal Offer Starts This Monday, June 18 at 10:00 a.m. on
The New York Mets today announced copies of their appeal to Major League Baseball to have R.A. Dickey's one-hitter changed to a no-hitter, the second in franchise history, will be reprinted for fans wishing to secure a pristine keepsake from this almost historic game.  Fans can purchase copies reprinted on the nicest paper we could find at Staples for $50 each, plus order and shipping fees.  The copies will be available starting Monday, June 18 at 10:00 a.m. on
Mets Season Ticket Holders will receive a complimentary copy of the appeal for every seat in their account. An order and shipping fee will apply.
Mets 40-Game, 20-Game, 15-Game and 6-Game Plan and Pack Holders will receive a discounted rate of $30 per appeal, plus order and shipping fees, through an exclusive pre-sale on starting tomorrow, Friday, June 15.
