“I will show him in the Subway Series when I strike out Ike Davis and I jump on the mound. I’ll be like, ‘That’s for you.’ ”
While some fans felt that Feliciano was unfairly calling out Ike Davis, The Apple was quick to point out that Feliciano was probably simply assuming that Davis would be the power hitting lefty he would be called on to face should he see action against the Mets. We were wrong.
On Monday, Feliciano announced his new line of motivational t-shirts which boast his intentions of striking out the Mets young first baseman. The shirts come in Mets and Yankees colors and boast the slogan "I Strike Ike Out" with the word "out" printed much smaller than the rest. Feliciano also revealed the source of the bad blood.
"I just plain don't like the guy. Always showboating and stuff. Flipping over rails. Who the hell does he think he is?"
When questioned about the situation, Davis clearly had no idea what was going on. "Who hates me?", said Davis. "Wait, why does the Feliz Navidad guy not like me?"
Meanwhile back in Pedro-Land, Feliciano's shirts will go on sale at area Modells this Friday. There is even a bi-lingual version for Spanish speakers.
