David Wright Returns From The Future To Warn Mets Fans Of Impending Doom
Posted by
Randy Medina
The Mets have won their opener for a truly amazin' 34th time in 52 tries. These victories are typically followed by the traditional overreaction by fans and media. For a few days, Colin Cowgill is surely headed for Cooperstown and Jon Niese is one win closer to his inevitable 28 win season.
Unfortunately, all that excitement was cut short today at the Mets pre-game presser when a mysterious figure materialized out of a glowing orb at Citi Field and immediately called a press conference. The figure turned out to be none other then Mets captain David Wright, but from 7 years in the future.
Wright told reporters that this is a key point in shaping the future of this team and proceeded to explain how things went down in his timeline:

Meet Your 2013 Digital New York Mets
Posted by

The 2013 incarnation of SONY's hit baseball video game MLB The Show hit store shelves this Tuesday. For the uninitiated, the franchise is known for it's incredible attention to detail when it comes to capturing the atmosphere of our national pastime.
To achieve this, the developers spend a lot of time trying to create digital versions of your favorite ballplayers.
How'd they do?
You be the judge. Check out some of your favorite Mets side by side with their MLB The Show counterparts and then sound off in the comments section.

David Wright Rips Into "Unclutch Mets Fans" Who Failed To Vote Him Into All-Star Game
Posted by
Randy Medina
David Wright will be going to the 2012 Major League Baseball All-Star Game next week, as a backup. Despite leading all NL third basemen in votes for most of the year, Wright was overtaken in a late surge in fan voting by Pablo Sandoval of the San Francisco Giants. Speaking to reporters before tonight's Mets-Dodgers game, Wright uncharacteristically voiced his displeasure with Mets fans who he feels failed to come through in the clutch.

Mets To Sell Fans Reprints Of Their "No-Hitter" Appeal To Major League Baseball
Posted by
Randy Medina
On Wednesday night, the Mets filed an appeal to Major League Baseball to have a 1st inning error harged to David Wright and thus crediting R.A. Dickey with a no-hitter. While the Mets knew the odds of the MLB actually overturning the scoring decision were against them, they hope to reap other benefits by cashing in on the memorabilia opportunities presented by Dickey's near no-no.
Much like they did with "NoHan Mania" the team is banking on fans willingness to pay top dollar for a replicated piece of history. On Thursday night, the Mets released the following press release:

Mets Admit Johan Graphic Was Premeditated, Reveal Graphics For Future No Hitters
Posted by
Randy Medina
Of all of the secondary stories surrounding Johan Santana's historic no-hitter, the quick work of the Citi Field graphics department has captured the imaginations of many in the Mets online community. Did they have that No-Han graphic prepared before the game? Did they make it during the game? If so, when did they start working on it? Admittedly, I was just as curious as everyone else so I contacted the Mets graphics department and they spilled the beans.

Mets Fans: Take The David Wright Photoshop Challenge
Posted by
Randy Medina
Ok so when I logged on to Mets.com today to check on the Mets game I was greeted with this:
Now there are a number of things wrong with this picture but let's just focus on David. Is that seriously the only photo they had or are intentionally trying to make Wright look stupid. Regardless, the (Photoshop or MS Paintz for you Amazin' Avenue types) potential is astronomical.
Thank God David Wright Didn't Allow Himself To Be Photographed In Cowboy Garb
