If you're a regular reader of The Apple you already know that whenever a spoof photo requires a female character the job goes to the "prettiest" Mets player. For the foreseeable future, the title of prettiest Met goes to Ruben Tejada. So here you go Mets fans...Happy nightmares!

Mets As Star Wars Characters: Part 1

Randy Medina
Mets Star Wars Night to benefit SU2C is this coming Monday. To get you in the spirit (and mostly to get my mind off of the fact that the Mets haven't won a game since the All-Star break) I've fired up Photoshop and am giving you a glimpse at what certain Mets players would look like if they existed in a galaxy far far away. Enjoy!

The Mets just can't catch a break these days. Just one day after losing their appeal to wear first responder hats on Sunday, the Mets find themselves once again on the losing end of the appeals process. The issue this time? Using technology to digitally insert Hayden Christensen into their dugout on Star Wars night.

Mets Photo Fun: Dickey Wars!

If you're like me, you lie awake at night wondering how different Star Wars would have been had R.A. Dickey been cast instead of Mark Hamill. Well now you don't have to wonder anymore.
Spoiler Alert: This version of Star Wars is only 20 minutes long because Dickey simply looks at the Death Star and it becomes overwhelmed by his awesomeness and explodes. The Emperor surrenders shortly thereafter but not before passing a law banning Hayden Christensen from ever being in a Star Wars movie. Oh and in this version, Dickey shoots first.

In case you missed it, Matt Cerrone of Metsblog.com seized ownership of my blog yesterday. I am currently in hiding at a secret location which may be in the Hoth system but could also be my apartment. Media Goon from metspolice.com has been circulating this video of the attack.
