On most teams, a young prospect really feels like he is part of the group just by donning the team's cap. But when the team is the NY Mets, one is not truly an Amazin' until your name is listed on some level of disabled list.

With Injuries Mounting, Mets Activate Terry Collins
Posted by
Randy Medina
The fan at Citi Field who held up the sign recently saying "We lead the league in MRI's" sure had it right. From Johan to Ike Davis, from Jose Reyes to Daniel Murphy, (Angel Pagan's back spasms, etc.) the injuries just keep laying low those feisty rarely-say-die Mets.
But it's gotten so bad and there is so little succor to be had at AAA-Buffalo, (what, you expect Fernando Martinez to be healthy?) that the Mets have had to take the extraordinary step of activating their 61 year old manager Terry Collins.
