Exclusive: Did Mets Pitcher Tim Byrdak Injure Himself In An Unsanctioned Wrestling Match?

When Mets pitcher Tim Byrdak showed up at spring training dressed as Hulk Hogan this year, everyone had a good laugh.  The laughter stopped when it was discovered Byrdak would have to start the year on the DL with a knee injury.  But are the injury and the costume actually related?

The Apple has obtained photo evidence which seems to show that in the days before spring training, Byrdak was actually performing as a Hogan impersonator with an unlicensed wrestling show.  Many in the Mets organization are speculating that Byrdak may have injured his knee performing an "Atomic Leg Drop".

Tim Byrdak has yet to comment on the allegations but the Mets are launching a full investigation.
