When it comes to judging the level of realism in a baseball video game, I think most experts agree that how a game handles a player as terrible as Oliver Perez is the best test. I fired up MLB 11 The Show for the Playstation this weekend to test it out. After loading up a spring training game between the Mets and Braves and quickly scanned the ballpark to see if I could find Ollie. Sure enough, there he is. Right where he should be, sitting on the far end of the bullpen bench talking to himself. Even virtual Taylor Tankersley clearly wants nothing to do with him. Most realistic game ever!
