Though not the first time for either team, the Mets and Jets were both referenced by the Simpsons this season. The Jets were a part of Bart's misunderstanding of West Side Story this Sunday while earlier this season Homer had an interesting take on the 69 Mets, more specifically, Ron Swoboda.
Check out the Jets clip here, but for my money, this is the winner.
PS- Sorry for the subtitles but at least you can learn to say "The 69 Mets will live on forever" in French.
